What Praxis Is
The Praxis tests, administered by ETS, are a family of exams used for teacher licensure and, in some states, admission into teacher preparation programs. Praxis isn't a single test — it covers basic academic skills (Praxis Core), pedagogical knowledge (Principles of Learning and Teaching), and subject-specific content knowledge, depending on the license and grade level a candidate is pursuing.

What's Covered
There are 90 different subject area tests designed to evaluate the knowledge and skills of prospective teachers in specific subjects at the K-12 level.
Questions include basic recall questions, but many questions are scenario-based that assess a candidate's ability to apply their knowledge in practical situations
